Weltformat Newcomer Award:
Now What?!

 

BRIEF

Welt­for­mat Graph­ic Design Fes­ti­val is again look­ing for the most excit­ing new­com­er poster design­ers – this year cel­e­brat­ing the festival’s 10th jubilee! We look for­ward to your sub­mis­sion – every­one younger than 27, whether stu­dent, intern or at the start of their career, can par­tic­i­pate. The twen­ty best projects will be pre­sent­ed in an exhi­bi­tion dur­ing Welt­for­mat Graph­ic Design Fes­ti­val 2018. After the exhi­bi­tion, the win­ning poster will be shown at 500 loca­tions through­out Switzer­land and award­ed CHF 1500.

SUBJECT: NOW WHAT?!
Turn­ing points – moments of uncer­tain­ty, trig­gered by inci­sive events and for­ma­tive expe­ri­ences. Turn­ing points– whether on a polit­i­cal, socio-cul­tur­al or per­son­al lev­el–
feel like a vac­u­um, like the start of a jour­ney with an uncer­tain out­come. They ask for deci­sions, a turn­around, a change of direc­tion or maybe just a swerve? As har­bin­gers of a new era, they are signs of pro­found change. We are look­ing for your visu­al inter­pre­ta­tion of turn­ing points; this moment of max­i­mal ten­sion, just before every­thing changes.

AWARDS

After the exhibition, the winning poster will be shown at 500 locations throughout Switzerland and awarded CHF 1500.
