PAVLOV CITY HOUSE IN KHARKIV

1. Introduction

The PAVLOV CITY HOUSE IN KHARKIV competition is an opportunity for architects, civil engineers, urban planners, studios, and universities to join Inspireli’s development activities and contribute to the reconstruction of Ukraine.

2. Presentation

The objective of the competition is to design the sensitive restoration and new public use of the Pavlov City House, a classical landmark built in 1832 and located in the center of Kharkiv. The building was damaged by a missile strike in 2022 and now requires careful reconstruction alongside the creation of a new public program. The competition also highlights the adjacent park and the transformation of the surrounding area into a more pedestrian-friendly urban space.

3. About the Project

The competition seeks a solution that combines the restoration of the historic building with the creation of a modern and attractive public space. The project should consider the integration of the Pavlov City House with the adjacent park and the transformation of the area into a more walkable urban environment.
