LWN Lison Winery – Terraviva Competitions

1. Introduction
The LWN Lison Winery competition is an architecture contest that seeks to transform Ca’ Rossa, a historic farmhouse located in the vineyards of eastern Venice, into a contemporary luxury winery. The project explores the relationship between rural heritage, wine culture, and contemporary architectural language.
2. Presentation
The competition challenges participants to reinterpret an abandoned agricultural complex, giving new life to the spaces through a program that combines hospitality, tasting, and experiential functions. The project encourages a broader vision of the winery as a place to stay and connect with the landscape, where architecture becomes a medium for telling stories and discovering sensations.
3. About the Project
Designers are invited to work freely on both interior and exterior spaces, reconfiguring layouts, circulation, and open areas while respecting the architectural identity of the existing structure. Landscaping plays a central role, shaping courtyards, paths, and transitional spaces that connect the building to the surrounding vineyards and enhance usability throughout the year.
