LIGHT TALES. VIA DEL MARE 2.0
BRIEF
The Port Authority Authority of the Southern Adriatic Sea published the “Light tales” competition announcement yesterday. Via Del Mare 2.0 “, aimed at making Via Del Mare, in Brindisi, more attractive, through light installations and artistic lighting panels.
The competition is open to all creatives who, through ingenuity and imagination, will realize projects of light installations that enrich the new road system, with particular reference to its metallic barrier separating the port area with restricted access from the urban one with free public access, pedestrian and vehicular.
A technical commission will evaluate the works that must be received exclusively anonymously at the offices of Brindisi dell’AdSP, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II n. 7, no later than 12.00 on 29 June next. The winner will be awarded the first prize of € 10,000, the runner-up will be awarded a prize of € 5,000, while € 2,500 will be awarded to the third classified.
“The idea – underlines the president Ugo Patroni Griffi- is to realize in Via Del Mare a permanent artistic exhibition of light panels that charms not only the citizens, but also the many tourists who will come. We want to add another attraction to the already rich historical and cultural heritage of which Brindisi already has, with the artistic contribution of all those who want to play an active role in the urban development of the city. “
