Label design for the art piece Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva 2015

BRIEF

The Kellerei Kaltern invites artists and designers to design the label for the third edition of the kunst.stück. The wine from the grape harvest of the vintage 2015, which has particularly inspired the winemaker due to its quality, with which nature has done a feat as it were, is bottled in a limited edition of 2,015 magnum bottles.

The 2015 art piece is a Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva. Originally from the Bordelais, this variety has found a new home in many wine regions and feels particularly well in the warm locations around Lake Kaltern. No wonder, the average temperature during the vegetation phase corresponds to that in Bordeaux. This is how Cabernet Sauvignon in Caldaro develops a very special character and is extremely elegant. He is spoiled by the Mediterranean sun, but he still remains a child of the mountains. And in exceptional years like 2015, nature brings out a rare art piece from this unique combination.

The theme of this issue of kunst.stück is therefore “In the world at home, in Kaltern at home”.

AWARDS

With this action, we want to offer young artists – perhaps unknown – a platform to present their work to a broad public. The artist receives great visibility thanks to the 2,015 magnum bottles positioned in the premium segment, their presentation in the context of an event and thanks to the appropriate communication. In addition, the artist will receive a prize money of € 500 and the opportunity to exhibit in the winecenter in Caldaro.
