FUTURE HOMES EUROPE

1. Introduction
The Future Homes Europe competition is an international call aimed at architects under the age of 35, promoted by the Architecture Festival 2026. The goal is to encourage participants to reflect on the principles of accessibility, sustainability, innovation, and adaptability, transforming them into concrete design visions.
2. Presentation
The competition is part of the Architecture Festival “Who Will Live in the Empty Houses?”, created and curated by the Fondazione per l’architettura / Torino and the Order of Architects of the Province of Turin.
The initiative focuses on contemporary housing and will take place in Turin, at the Ex Mercato Ittico di Porta Palazzo, on July 7, 8, and 9, 2026.
3. About the Project
The competition seeks to redefine the meaning of contemporary housing, considering it both as a physical space and as a social, cultural, and environmental device.
The proposal is not only to address housing shortages but also to rethink housing in its essence.
