CREATIVE LIVING LAB. QUALITY, CREATIVITY, PARTICIPATION PRIZE
BRIEF
The Directorate-General for Cotemporary Art and Architecture and Urban Peripheries – DGAAP is pleased to present “CREATIVE LIVING LAB. Quality, Creativity, Participation”, an initiative focused on the participated urban renewal of peripheral areas, the realisation of innovative projects promoting quality in the fields of culture and creativity, oriented toward the regeneration and transformation of interstitial spaces and areas or abandoned or decommissioned buildings and neglected natural areas.
The “CREATIVE LIVING LAB” call is open to public and private subjects operating in the cultural sector and involving active local stakeholders. The call focuses on the creation of participated actions, realised by communities for communities, and developed with multidisciplinary support from cultural mediators such as architects, landscape architects, designers, artists, film/theatre directors, photographers, musicians, performers, writers, psychologists, sociologists, anthropologists. Proposals may include micro-projects and educational activities and laboratories such as workshops, seminars, laboratories, exhibition and didactic itineraries, based on a programme that unfolds over the course of 6 months.
The DGAAP will provide up to 250 thousand Euro, with a maximum contribution to each project of 34,000.00 Euro.
With the Creative Living Lab call, the DGAAP plans to test a formula for intervening in Italy’s peripheries, approached as territories with social, economic and environmental fragilities, often close to the physical centre of the city, that involves different expressions of contemporary creativity in the urban and socio-cultural renewal of territories and communities.

Registered applicants may then proceed to fill out the application form, complete with all required documentation, which must be signed by the applicant’s legal representative no later than 12:00 noon (CET) on 16/07/2018.
