Competition for the design of the Palazzo Vertemate Franchi brand in Valchiavenna

BRIEF

The Municipality of Chiavenna, in the province of Sondrio, in collaboration with AIAP announces a competition of ideas for the design and graphic design of the brand for the promotion of Palazzo Vertemate Franchi in Valchiavenna.

The competition is part of the project “Palazzo Vertemate: Laboratorio di Arti e Mestieri” of Fondazione Cariplo, which intends to transform Palazzo Vertemate Franchi from a museum monument, into the static dimension of the antiquarium, to cultural heritage for development: a place of culture, research and innovation; welcoming context, space of well-being, beauty goal; incubator of entrepreneurial possibilities, food and wine business, training gym.

The brand will have to be representative of the peculiarities of this Renaissance villa located in the heart of the Alps and of all the elements that make up the face of the landscape of which the building is part.
It is about studying and designing a real brand. This is not a ‘commercial’ brand in the strict sense; rather, it intends to mean – with visual language – the process of cultural / economic / social change grafted by the project “Palazzo Vertemate Franchi in Valchiavenna: Laboratory of Arts and Crafts” (Call for Proposals “Cultural Heritage for the Development of the Territory” by Fondazione Cariplo).

SCHEDULE

The call is open to professionals, young graduates or graduates, companies and / or graphic design / advertising / communication or multidisciplinary teams. The requested materials must be sent by 13.00 on 20 April 2018. Please refer to the competition announcement and to the delivery methods brief and all other specifications.

AWARDS

Among all the proposals submitted, projects worthy of being awarded will be chosen. Among these will be chosen the overall winner of the competition and the corresponding prize of € 3,000.00 (three thousand). There are also two special mentions of 500.00 euros (five hundred) each, respectively.
