Building Trust International | Architecture Charity Design and Build

1. Introduction

The SMALL PROJECT – BIG IMPACT CHALLENGE is an opportunity for designers, architects, engineers, and creative thinkers to propose small-scale projects capable of generating significant impact. The focus is on ideas that serve charitable purposes, support humanitarian goals, or contribute to wildlife conservation.

2. Presentation

The challenge seeks thoughtful, practical, and buildable proposals that address real needs, especially for individuals, communities, or ecosystems that are often overlooked or underestimated. Participants must design a project that can be delivered for US$50,000 or less, demonstrating how limited resources can be used creatively to create lasting positive change.

3. About the Project

Projects should prioritize those most in need—people or environments that often “fall through the cracks”—and provide a clear and compassionate response to a specific problem. Participants must design a project deliverable within a US$50,000 budget while demonstrating innovative use of limited resources.
