Building Time: Launch of the Photography Competition for the Centennial of the Building Constructors Section
1. Introduction
Confindustria Sardegna Meridionale launches the photography competition “Building Time” to celebrate the Centennial of the Building Constructors Section. The goal is to encourage a fresh and conscious perspective on the role of the construction industry in the territory of Cagliari and southern Sardinia.
2. Presentation
The competition is open to university students and 4th and 5th-year secondary school students, who may participate individually or in groups. University students are encouraged to focus on Civil Engineering, although the approach is open and multidisciplinary.
3. About the Project
The competition aims to interpret the theme of construction as a process that moves through time, relating buildings, infrastructure, construction sites, and built spaces to the natural landscape and the human and social context in which they are located. The images should portray the territory of Cagliari and southern Sardinia, offering not only a descriptive interpretation but also a point of view, reflection, and connection between construction and context.
