ARTIST CONTEST | DISCLAIM THE LANDSCAPE
BRIEF
Permanent School of Abitare, in collaboration with the Circle of Sant’Angelo in Colle in the Municipality of Montalcino, indicates a competition for artists linked to the reflection on the landscape, to make the importance and reveal its many beauties.
The Circle of Sant’Angelo in Colle in the Municipality of Montalcino and OCRA have called a Landscape Festival for 22 and 23 September 2018. The aim of this festival is to focus attention on the inhabitants and in particular the younger ones, visitors, wine and oil producers and tourism entrepreneurs – the importance of taking care of the landscape.
In the framework of the Festival of Landscape, it was thought that nothing better than the drawings of artists, of different ages, professionalism and provenance, can make the importance to be unveiled of the landscape, its different values and the many beauties, but also its lesser-known sides, sometimes threatening, or otherwise arcane. For this reason, the design of the landscape en plein air, to be realized in the weeks preceding the festival according to the participants’ preferences, will be an essential component of the Festival and will complement other components, such as reflection on the landscape (conferences and round tables on the 22 September ), hiking (two guided walks in the landscape for young and old, the morning of September 23) and conviviality (lunch on the streets of Sant’Angelo in Colle prepared by the most refined cooks of the village, September 23).

14 – 22 September 2018: works on display at the Circolo di Sant’Angelo in Colle
23 September 2018: award ceremony
FEES
To participate in the competition a contribution of € 20.00 is foreseen to partially cover the organizational expenses.
JURY
The works will be evaluated according to qualitative criteria and adherence to the theme of the competition by two separate commissions: one consisting of visitors to the exhibition (set up at the Circle of Sant’Angelo in Colle) and a jury of experts.
