TSA The Students Apartment – Terraviva Competitions

1. Introduction

The “TSA The Students Apartment” competition is an opportunity for architects and designers to reimagine a traditional two-bedroom apartment located in the heart of Pavia, one of Italy’s most prestigious university cities.

2. Presentation

The competition is a collaboration between Terraviva Competitions and the city of Pavia, aiming to transform a long-abandoned apartment into a contemporary home for two or three students. The challenge is to reorganize the internal layout and create an innovative design that balances flexibility, comfort, privacy, and social interaction.

3. About the Project

The apartment is located on the sixth floor of a residential building in the historic center of Pavia, offering panoramic views and a strategic position. The project must reflect how students live today and how domestic spaces can support increasingly common hybrid routines consisting of studying, resting, gathering, and sharing daily experiences.

4. Schedule

  • May 20, 2026: Competition launch;
  • September 4, 2026: Registration deadline;
  • October 16, 2026: Project submission deadline;
  • November 6, 2026: Selection results announcement;
  • December 9, 2026: Awards announcement.

5. Prizes

  • Cash prize: €3,000 (1st place), €2,000 (2nd place), €1,000 (3rd place);
  • 5 Golden Mentions: Coupon for a free registration;

  • 30 Finalists: Publication on Terraviva’s channels.
