Lyceum Foundation

1. Introduction
The Lyceum Fellowship competition is a travel opportunity for architecture students, aiming to promote critical reflection on contemporary urban and regional issues.
2. Presentation
The competition is organized by Estudio Teddy Cruz + Fonna Forman and aims to address the relationship between justice and urban space. Participants are invited to identify and visualize a specific conflict, and to design the necessary conditions to address it.
3. About the Project
The competition is divided into two stages: the first consists of naming and visualizing a specific conflict, and the second consists of designing the necessary conditions to address it. Participants must consider the political, economic, social, and spatial processes required to confront the selected conflict.
4. Schedule
- 2026: Competition open;
- June 2026: Winners announced.
5. Prizes
- 1st Place: $15,000 for three months of international travel;
- 2nd Place: $10,000 for two months of international travel;
- 3rd Place: $5,000 for one month of international travel;
- Jon McKee Prize: An award granted at the discretion of the Lyceum Committee, recognizing an exceptional design project, a notable travel statement, and/or outstanding participation by a faculty advisor;
- Certificate of Merit Recognition.
