Call for Ideas – Gazometro | Spazio Taverna

1. Introduction

Spazio Taverna launches a call for ideas to design a vision for the future of the Gazometro, a unique industrial complex in the heart of Rome. The objective is to create a monument, a pavilion, or an installation that dialogues with the history and identity of the Gazometro district.

2. Presentation

The competition is open to Italian artists and architects under the age of 35. Participation is free, and candidates must submit a project that includes a concept, a visualization, and a curriculum.

3. About the Project

The Gazometro is an industrial complex that houses Rome’s sustainable innovation hub, called ROAD (Rome Advanced District). The district is composed of a large gasometer, smaller gasometers, historic industrial warehouses, plazas, and green areas along the Tiber.

4. Schedule

  • May 21, 2026: Official launch of the competition
  • July 31, 2026: Submission deadline
  • September 2026: Communication of the finalists and the winner

5. Prizes

  • 10 finalists: Publication in Artribune and free access to the School of Vision Masterclass
  • 1 winner: € 3,000

6. Jury

The proposal will be examined by a jury that includes experts in art, architecture, innovation, and culture. The objective is to evaluate the creative strength, contextual relevance, and cultural impact of each project.
