ARSENAL MEMORY PARK

Introduction
The ARSENAL MEMORY PARK competition is an opportunity for architects and designers from all over the world to present their ideas for the urban development of a 350-hectare complex located in Argentina. The objective is to create a space that preserves the memory of the events that occurred in a clandestine detention center between 1976 and 1978, while also promoting culture, art, education, and recreation.
Presentation
The competition is open to architecture students from all over the world and is divided into three scales: Urban Scale (Site Urbanization), Urban Sector Scale (Park Unit), and Architectural Scale (Interpretation Center). Participants must submit projects that are conceptual, qualitative, and symbolic, and that respect the memory and history of the site.
About the Project
The 350-hectare complex will be divided into several areas, including an interpretation center, a park, an art center, a conference center, and an amphitheater. The interpretation center will have a covered area of 40,000 square meters and will consist of several rooms, including a historical exhibition, an art gallery, an audiovisual showroom, and a memory square.
