Trophée béton

1. Introduction

The Trophée béton is a competition that aims to highlight the aesthetic and technical quality of concrete architecture, promoting innovation and creativity among young architects and engineers.

2. Presentation

The competition is organized by the association Bétocib, Cimbéton, and the Foundation Ecole Française du Béton, in partnership with the Maison de l’Architecture Ile-de-France and the Ministry of Culture. The goal is to raise awareness among young generations about the intrinsic qualities of concrete and to foster innovative architectural reflection regarding its use.

3. About the Project

The competition is divided into two categories: PFE (Final Thesis Projects) and STUDIO. The PFE category aims to reward final thesis projects that use concrete judiciously, while the STUDIO category allows students currently enrolled in architecture programs to explore concrete in a creative and innovative way.

4. Schedule

  • January 15, 2026: Registration opens
  • October 31, 2026: Registration closes
  • January 2027: Award ceremony at the Maison de l’Architecture Ile-de-France

5. Prizes

  • 1st place PFE: €5,000
  • 2nd place PFE: €4,000
  • 3rd place PFE: €3,000
  • 1st place STUDIO: €2,000
  • Special mention for architect-engineers or engineer-architects

6. Jury

The jury is composed of specialists in architecture and engineering, who will evaluate the submitted projects based on criteria of innovation, creativity, and technical quality.
