1. Introduction
The Municipality of Selva di Val Gardena has launched a design competition for the creation of a new cultural and congress hub in view of the 2031 Alpine Ski World Championships.
2. Presentation
The competition aims to upgrade the structure and make it more accessible and safe, as it was built in 1968 and is no longer able to meet current requirements for flexibility of use, accessibility, and fire safety.
3. About the Project
The new building will comprise a large congress hall with around 1,000 seats, a stage area for events and shows, five seminar rooms, a multifunctional foyer, a cloakroom, four rooms for associations, caretaker’s accommodation, and other accessory spaces.
