Identity of the AMO Prize

1. Introduction
The AMO Prize is an annual distinction organized by the AMO association, rewarding exceptional projects resulting from exemplary collaboration between architects and project owners. Since 1984, the prize has highlighted architectural achievements that represent innovation, dialogue, social and environmental commitment, and responses to major contemporary challenges.
2. Presentation
The AMO Prize follows a rigorous multi-stage process, including application submissions by architect–project owner pairs, technical analysis, finalist presentations, and the announcement of the winners.
3. About the Project
The AMO Prize is the ultimate recognition for the project that best embodies the values of the award, including remarkable architecture and visionary, responsible collaboration. Since 2018, the jury has also recognized six thematic categories that highlight specific and committed approaches.
4. Schedule
- Spring: Applications open for architect–project owner pairs.
- July: Technical review of submissions by expert committees.
- September: Finalists present before the final jury.
- Autumn: Announcement of the winners and award ceremony for the AMO Prize and other distinctions.
