BRIEF

Prospectus

Fusion Art invites submissions for the 3rd Annual Cityscapes art competition for an online exhibition during the month of June 2018.

For this competition artists, worldwide, are encouraged to share their artistic vision and interpretation of Cityscapes. The theme includes any art or photography which depict cities, towns, urban scenes and/or any related metropolitan subjects. The artwork can range from realism to surrealism to abstraction and all 2D and 3D artists over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, are encouraged to submit their best representational or abstract “Cityscapes” art and photography.

Dates and Deadlines

Call for Artists Announced: April 12, 2018
Deadline for Entries: May 27, 2018
Opening of Online Exhibition: June 1, 2018
Online Exhibition Closed & Archived: June 31, 2018 (remains on website under “Archived Exhibitions” for 3 years)

AWARDS

Best in Show will be awarded to one artist in each category – Traditional, Digital & Photography and 3-Dimensional (if the gallery receives 3D entries).
2nd through 5th Place awards in each category will also be given.
The Best in Show winners will be the “Featured Artists” on the website for the duration of the exhibition. The Best in Show winners will also receive an invitation to participate in Fusion Art’s 3rd annual group show in February 2019.
The top five award winning artists will have their award winning artwork included in Fusion Art’s gallery on Artsy.net. Artsy is the largest online database of contemporary art online and receives an average of 2.5 million visitors a month from 160 countries and has become the “go to” place for collectors to find and buy art online.
Depending on the number and quality of all submissions received, Honorable Mention and/or Special Recognition awards may also be given.
All award winning artists will receive a digital award certificate, event announcement and copy of the press release for their art portfolio.
The exhibition and winning artists will be marketed and promoted extensively through the gallery’s website, in Fusion Art’s Artsy.net gallery, in hundreds of online press release announcements, email marketing campaigns to over 2000 buyers, collectors, galleries and art professionals, online event calendars, through art news websites including ARTFIXdaily, Artweek, Art Guide and Art.base.co and through our extensive and continually growing social media network.
A video of the group exhibition will be created and available on the website and Fusion Art’s YouTube channel.
Links to the artist’s website will be listed on the exhibition page and should result in increased traffic to the artist’s website.
Fusion Art’s objective is to promote the artists, worldwide, to art professionals, gallerists, collectors and buyers.
All inquiries from potential buyers who see the artwork on the Fusion Art website will be directed to the artist for negotiation. Sales that originate through Fusion Art’s Artsy.net online gallery will be subject to a separate agreement between Fusion Art and the artists. The artwork does not need to be for sale to be included in Fusion Art’s Arsty gallery. The top 5 winning artists in each category will receive the pertinent information regarding this award when they receive the email informing them they have won.

FEES

Entry Fees

A nonrefundable entry fee of $35 for up to 5 images.
Artists may enter the competition more than once if they have more than 5 works they want to be considered.
Artists are encouraged to enter the maximum number of images allowable for the entry fee. All images entered are not guaranteed to be accepted.
ENTRY FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE
Payment is required at the time of entry.
IMAGE LABELING: Image should be labeled as Title_FirstName_LastName.jpeg. Example: Untitled_John_Smith.jpg.
