2018 Module Design Challenge
BRIEF
Module is building its first homes in 2018 and we’re always pushing the envelope when it comes to construction technology. One trend we’ve been following is digital manufacturing. We love the idea that custom components or furnishings for a home can be 3D printed, CNC routed, or laser cut. These technologies open the door to a new world of possibilities. That’s why we’re teaming up with Roboto NYC to host a design challenge!
Challenge Categories
- Furniture Seating components, desk, storage components, bed, murphy bed, desk
- LED Lighting Pendants, wall components, lampshades, hanging lights, exterior lights
- Vertical Wall System Modular components for storage, plants, herbs (Limit to 3ft x 8ft – Sectional pieces of 39” x 24”)
SCHEDULE
Winning designs will be chosen based on the Module Design Challenge Judging Criteria. This Challenge starts on January 15, 2018 and ends on March 16, 2018 (11:59pm EST). Winner(s) will be announced by April 4, 2018.
AWARDS
The winning design also earns a $500 cash prize!
